Bangalore lake encroachment - govt records go missing
Even the High Court ordering the survey, demarcation and fencing of the 183 lakes does not seem to have woken up the government. The BBMP officers have found that over 286 acres of lake bed area has been encroached in the City, with survey records for another 30-40 lakes missing.

I wonder when the land grab will finally stop. On my way to office via Bellandur lake every day, I have to fight several trucks carrying dirt for another land fill next to the lake. And this is the largest lake in Bangalore that I am talking about.
